THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SCREENS IN 2023

Types of Display Screens: Currently, there are more and more different types of defenses. marketable argument or real technological advantage? The appellations aren't always veritably representative of the rates of a screen. At Computer Geeks, we're experts in digital signage. This is why we make it our duty to know the advantages and disadvantages of these screens in order to offer the result stylishly suited to the requirements of our guests.
In communication, there are generally two orders of screens LED and TV. still, these aren't the only bonesIn order to help you more understand the advantages of these results, we're going to present the specialized characteristics of these digital defenses.

 1.LCD screens
2. Plasma screen
 3. LED screen
 4 OLED and QLED screens

Types of display screens

LCD screens OR MONITORS

The LCD screen( Liquid Crystal Displays), it's the most common screen in our daily life. It's set up in our computer defenses, some boxes, our tablets and smartphones, on our digital cameras, etc. As its name suggests, it works using liquid chargers used as light polarizing pollutants. It's thus a un-resistant display system. This means that it works by backlighting and thus doesn't produce direct light. That is why it generally has a limited brilliance. This makes this type of screen delicate to see in direct sun. Although the rearmost technological advances have bettered this factor. The LCD generally uses two types of backlight technology: neon or LED. Hence the citation of LED television or LED examiner not to be confused with LED screen which is a different fashion.

 Advantages and disadvantages

The major advantage of LCD results is that they allow close visibility of veritably good quality. They're also light and easy to handle defenses. This is why it's the format most used by the general public. Also, as it's the most wide type of product, the request is well developed. This makes it possible to find results for all budgets. This is also the most economically accessible result.

On the other hand, LCDscreens have a number of downsides. Particularly in terms of fragility with a fairly short lifetime on average4/5 times for professional use. They're also limited in terms of size( maximum 2.8 m slant) and shape. Eventually, despite the progress made by the integration of LEDs in backlighting, the LCDalso tends to warrant discrepancy, especially at the position of black tones, and to be sensitive to the image burn- in effect.

 THE Plasma SCREEN

Plasma screens are less common among professionals than among individualities. Indeed, this type of screen workshop illuminates noble feasts via an electric current. It's this inflow of energy that transforms these feasts into tubes( hence its name) and produces ultraviolet light. This is also converted into multicolored light. We find this result substantially as a LCD or for professional use.

 Advantages and disadvantages

It has the advantage of being less limited in terms of size( up to 3m80 slant). Above all, it offers better contrasts, among the most qualitative. It also allows close visibility with superb image quality., fluid and which has a fairly wide viewing angle( 160 °). On the other hand, these are heavier screens because of the glass arbor, with a reflection effect of the girding light sources. They're also sensitive to the miracle of continuity of the image formerly turned off, known as burn- in( caused by fixed images). They may also parade a chinking effect in the image. As they operate on a variable electrical current, this may beget a advanced energy consumption depending on the intensity. Eventually, it's a type of screen that's more delicate to produce and thus fairly precious.

 LED SCREEN

We're talking then about LED screens as similar, and not so- called “ LED ” TVs, which are actually LCD screens with an LED backlight system.

This type of digital screen works thanks to LEDs which will play the part of pixel or sub-pixel. These emit their own multicolored light directly. They're also controlled in order to vary their intensity. The use of LED technology in screens is also constantly evolving in order to make them more and more effective and protean.

 Advantages and disadvantages

Unlike other LCD , LED screens have the advantage of emitting their own lights. They're thus visible in direct sun with a high quality of discrepancy and achromatism. In addition, they're more resistant defenses, some can last a good ten times. In particular, thanks to the use of LEDs, it is energy. Eventually, since they aren't dependent on optic pollutants, they aren't limited in size and shape. They can thus take original shapes and represent several square measures.

Still, the LED screen also has disadvantages. Indeed, the size of the LEDs and the distance between them can make these screens less suitable for near vision. In general, the maturity of LED screens starts for visibility from 4 m down. Still, this is less and less true with the use of mini-LEDs and micro-LEDs. Therefore, there are results allowing us to see the sharp image a1.5 m – 2m. They're thus preferred display screens for distance vision from many measures to several knockouts.

 OLED AND QLED screens

This type of screen works analogous to an LED result. Each diode represents a sub-pixel, but with a different introductory technology, since it's OLED for Organic Light- Emitting Diode or organic light- emitting diode. The light- emitting property of OLED thus doesn't bear the use of a backlight. still, it has a lower light intensity than LED and a shorter lifetime.

OLED digital has the advantage of offering excellent image quality, with a veritably wide viewing angle. In addition, they've the particularity of being suitable to be veritably thin, indeed flexible. Still, these screens are complicated to produce, precious and thus more suited to small formats( smartphone, tablet). Eventually, like tubes, they're also susceptible to the effect of burn- in.

The QLED

QLED screens are not an evolution of OLED screens, but a solution in their own right. Moreover,  these are closer to LCD screens.  Indeed, they work by backlighting. The Q comes from Quantum-Dot which is a filter applied to an LCD screen to boost its brightness and colorimetry. The name QLED is therefore more commercial than a direct reference to its operation. However, although expensive, this solution has the advantage of being more accessible than OLED.

SCREEN, WHAT IS THE BEST SOLUTION?

Nowadays we therefore have many types of screens available. The distinctions between its technologies are therefore made either by their size and visibility distance, or for their visual quality. There is no better technology than others, it depends on the use made of it .  In communication, the choice will be either LCD or LED depending on the size and the planned visibility distance.

On the other hand, on a daily basis for televisions or computer screens, the image quality and the budget will be more decisive. At  Computer Geeks , we are experts in dynamic display and designer of LED screens for professionals.  If you have screen communications projects, we can advise you.  Do not hesitate to contact us.better technology than others
